The auditorium of the College of Medical Technology at Nalut University witnessed this morning, Thursday, January 2, 2024, the implementation of the closing session of the second training program for the year 2024 titled "Skills for Managing Psychological Stress," presented by Professor Saleh bin Youssef, a professor of clinical psychology from the University of Ghardaia.
The course targeted all segments of society, and it was organized and supervised by the Dar Al-Da'wah Organization in Nalut and the Sheikh Ali Yahya Ma'mar Association for Authenticity and Development, under the sponsorship of Nalut University, Nalut Municipality, Nalut Central Hospital, the Nalut Social Affairs Office, and the Nalut Education Monitoring Office.
Course Topics:
- The concept of psychological stress and its symptoms.
- Maslach Burnout Inventory.
- Stages of psychological stress and choosing a response to stress.
- Steps for Managing Stress.
- Cognitive and behavioral applications for stress management.
- Progressive muscle relaxation techniques.
- Full Consciousness Presence Technique.
At the conclusion of the course, the President of the University, Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, presented certificates of appreciation to the esteemed professors who conducted the training program sessions.
It is noted that the second training program (2024) was held within the municipality of Nalut and lasted for a full week, starting from Saturday, December 28, 2024, to Thursday, January 2, 2025.
The program included a number of workshops, among which are:
- Resolving social disputes and conflicts targeted those working in the field of reconciliation and social mediation.
- Development of the skills of psychological counselors and social specialists targeted psychological counselors, social specialists, and teachers.
- Communication and marital compatibility targeted brides-to-be, married students in the graduation phase.
- Skills for managing psychological stress targeted all segments of society.
The program also included awareness episodes in live coverage through local radio stations about:
- The phenomenon of bullying and aggressive behavior among students in schools / National Radio Nalut.
- Skills for Dealing with Teenagers / National Radio Nalut.
- The Wise Mother-in-law / Radio Al-Istiqaama.
